Using Astrology as a Self-Awareness Tool
A Conversation with Tiff from Sage Reality 11
In my work as a Holistic Intuitive Practitioner, I often meet people who are looking for practical ways to understand themselves more deeply. Astrology can sometimes feel abstract or even out of reach, but in conversation with Tiff from Sage Reality, it became clear how it can be used as a very down-to-earth tool for self-awareness. This interview explores astrology not as prediction, but as a language for noticing patterns, strengthening self-trust, and supporting everyday choices.
When I sat down with Tiff from Sage Reality, I knew we’d be diving into astrology—but what unfolded was a much deeper conversation about leadership, resilience, and learning to trust ourselves.
Tiff shared how she was unexpectedly placed in a leadership role in her professional life—one traditionally held by men in her community. It wasn’t a role she had sought out, but she came to see it as part of her personal growth. That experience became one of the doorways into astrology as a tool for understanding both the challenges we face and the deeper purpose behind them.
Astrology as Mirror, Not Fortune-Telling
Throughout our conversation, Tiff explained how astrology can act like a mirror. Rather than prescribing a fixed destiny, it reflects patterns, strengths, and struggles—helping us connect the dots between our inner world and the choices we make in everyday life.
For example, she described how placements like the moon sign can reveal how we emotionally recharge, while Saturn points to long-term growth lessons, and the Midheaven offers clues about our life direction.
Breaking Generational Cycles
One of the most powerful stories Tiff shared was about a client who came to her later in life, questioning her purpose. The birth chart confirmed something this woman already sensed deep down: that she was the one in her family breaking cycles of generational trauma.
Seeing that truth reflected back to her became a turning point, reminding her of her courage and protecting her children from carrying forward old patterns.
What struck me most is how Tiff frames astrology not as fortune-telling, but as a language of self-awareness. It validates that inner voice we’re often taught to doubt. It shows us that we are not broken, but designed with specific strengths and lessons. From there, self-trust naturally begins to grow.
We also explored the overlaps between astrology and modern tools like psychology and nervous system work. Astrology shines a light on the why—the unconscious drives and patterns—while somatic and psychological practices give us the how to work with those patterns in real time.
A Simple Practice for Finding Purpose
When I asked Tiff what practice she would recommend to anyone beginning the search for purpose, she kept it beautifully simple: ask yourself each day what lights you up and what drains you—and follow what lights you up.
In closing, Tiff’s biggest message for women was this: you’re not here to fit in—you’re here to remember who you are.
You can find more of her work at Sage Reality, where she continues to share astrology as a path toward self-trust, courage, and authentic leadership.
Astrology, as Tiff shared, can be one doorway into self-awareness. In my own practice as a Holistic Intuitive Practitioner, I use a different approach. HIP sessions don’t involve astrology, but they also work at the level of patterns, self-trust, and creating space for new possibilities.
